For your 2006-2011 X-2 you’ll want to use our X2 specific front and rear bags:

- Mastercraft X2 Specific Rear Bag #11014
- Mastercraft X2 Specific Front Bag #11017

Those bags can be filled and drained using a Tsunami Portable Pump #21001, or they can be integrated into your factory ballast system using our exclusive Piggyback Upgrade Kits:

- Mastercraft Rear Piggyback Upgrade #43201
- Mastercraft Front Piggyback Upgrade #42305

That will give you fully automated control using the switches on the dash, just like your factory system now, but with additional ballast.

Regardless of which option you choose to fill and drain the bags, you’ll have a great setup for both wakeboarding and surfing, with plenty of capacity to make a great wake for both activities.

When upgrading the ballast system on your Supra 20v, Supra 21v, Supra 22v, Supra 24v, or Supra 242 wakeboard boat equipped with the VISION display using the WakeMAKERS Supra BagBuster Factory Ballast upgrade you must reconfigure the factory settings to allow more time for the ballast pumps to run.

Once you configure the pumps to run longer you can relax knowing that your ballast pumps will shut off automatically when ever the ballast bags are both full or empty. This will dramatically increase the life of both the Jabsco Ballast Puppy pump and the green ballast pump impeller since the chance of run dry is almost completely eliminated.

We have had a lot of customers inquire about the availability of the 1 inch barbed “y” fitting. Although the barbs are technically 1-1/8″ it will still work with 1″ ballast hose. This wye fitting is used in ballast systems that need a directional flow of water.

The 1″ hose barb wye fitting allows for the joining of two hoses with more efficiency than a simple tee fitting. Priority flow design minimizes discharge from one hose to run back into the other, so whether it is being used to combine two hoses into one, or split a single hose into two branches, you’ll get maximum performance in the intended direction of flow.

Ideal for combining vent and drain connections from one ballast bag together to exit through a single thru-hull fitting. Not suitable for use below the waterline.

On many factory ballast systems equipped with soft bags, the fittings are actually cemented into the bag during construction so they won’t pull out prematurely. That’s great if you want the fitting in the bag, but what if you need to change the fitting to a different type or system? We already posted step-by-step instructions on how to remove fittings that have been cemented in place, but figured a video is better than pictures.

Thanks to a standard that extends back more than 30 years, most marine bilge related products use 1-1/8″ hose connections rather than the more common 1″ inside diameter size. To make matters worse, many fittings are advertised universally as being designed for 1″ hose, even though the actual nominal size of the fitting is 1-1/8″. As you can imagine, it can be difficult to make a fitting that’s too big fit into a hose that’s too small. Unfortunately many ballast systems actually do use a true 1″ fitting somewhere in the system, which means that 1″ hose must be used throughout.

We have a lot of customers contacting us why it’s so difficult to get the 1″ fittings they purchased inside the 1″ hose they bought from us. Refer back to the paragraph above for the answer, but basically the fitting is 1/8″ too big for hose. Fortunately with a little knowledge, it’s actually quite easy to get the fitting to slide into the hose. It’s a question that’s asked enough that we decided to put together a little video that shows the process:
